Average size of unemployment benefits is announced in Bashkiria

The average size of unemployment benefits was 5,804 rubles in Bashkortostan in March or 62% of the subsistence minimum for the working-age population. This was reported to the Bashinform News Agency by the republican Ministry of Labor.

“The share of recipients of unemployment benefits in the region amounted to a minimum of 39.4%, the maximum - 33.8%,” said the department spokeswoman Rosa Kuzmenko.

According to the latest data, the number of unemployed in Bashkiria in accordance with the standards of the International Labor Organization is 86.7 thousand people. Of these, more than 23.4 thousand are officially registered unemployed.

According to sample labor force surveys in November 2018 - January 2019, the number of the economically active population in the republic exceeds 1.9 million people.
