Sowing campaign began in pre-Ural steppe in Bashkiria

A sowing campaign has started in Bashkiria, the Ministry of Agriculture reported. This year it began three weeks earlier than usual. Traditionally, the farms of the central districts of the region in the area of the pre-Ural steppe were the first to start the spring field works.

Agrarians of seven districts began feeding winter crops, five began harrowing perennial grasses, and three started dust mulching. Since the beginning of April, 2.7 thousand hectares of winter crops have been fed, 1.5 thousand hectares of perennials have been harvested, and 700 hectares have been mulched.

This year, spring field work will require 11.2 billion rubles (+ 18% by 2018). The increase in costs was due to higher prices for spare parts for the repair of agricultural equipment, fuels and lubricants, and mineral fertilizers.

The state support from the federal and republican budgets will be 5.2 billion rubles. Also, sources of financing will include revenues from the sale of manufactured products, advances from processing enterprises and borrowed funds.
