Program to increase mineral fertilizers consumption in agriculture will be launched in Bashkiria in 2020

In 2020, the republican state program for the development of the agro-industrial complex will be supplemented by a subprogramme on increasing the consumption of mineral fertilizers by agricultural enterprises. It was stated by the Interim Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov answering the question of the Bashinform News Agency.

“In 2019, our farmers are planning to purchase 60 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers. We should double this figure, which will allow us to achieve the set targets. By 2024, it is planned to increase the production of grain and leguminous plants by 35.4% compared with the figure for 2018, to 4.1 million tons, ”said Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.

According to him, now negotiations are being conducted with the enterprise “Meleuzovskie Udobreniya” on the prospects for increasing production.

On January 26, 2018, “Gazprom neftekhim Salavat” sold at auction 100% of shares of the Meleuz plant of mineral fertilizers. The company for 579.5 million rubles was bought by Moscow LLC "Promhimtorg", owned by Nikolay Spiridonov (51%) and Alexander Lunev (49%). The new owners are closely connected with the oil and gas and petrochemical industry and already then announced that they were planning to develop a chemical plant in Meleuz.

The production capacities of the Meleuz plant of mineral fertilizers are 450 thousand tons per year. The Director of the branch of JSC "Meleuzovskie Udobreniya" in Moscow Sergey Albrecht in July 2018 at a meeting with the Interim Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkiria Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said that the company produced about 200-230 thousand tons of fertilizers per year.

“We are planning to double our production in the next four years. We will invest in restoring the production of nitric acid, which our plant can produce up to 360 thousand tons per year. Then the production of ammonium nitrate will also increase. The costs will be covered by producing competitive products and increasing its volumes. We are fully provided with raw materials for the production of fertilizers under the current 10-year contract with “Gazprom neftekhim Salavat””, said Sergey Albrecht.
