Ufa is recognized as leader in development of creative infrastructure

Ufa took a leading position among cities with a creative infrastructure, ahead of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad. RIA «Novosti» reports this with reference to the research of PwC in Russia and Calvert 22 Fund.

The capital of Bashkiria is in the top twenty of the best Russian cities in terms of the creative capital index, which characterizes the state of urban infrastructure, human capital, and business environment. The first three lines were taken by Moscow, Petersburg, and Kazan.

“A special feature of the Index’s methodology is to normalize indicators relatively to the size of each city - population and area,” the researchers specified.

The compilers of the rating noted that the above-mentioned indicators disproved a stereotype about the lag of Russian regions from Moscow and St. Petersburg in the development of the new economy.
