Radiy Khabirov announced that there would be no turnstiles in Ufa buses

The Acting Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov clarified the situation around the installation of turnstiles at the entrance to Ufa buses.

“I witnessed a fascinating discussion on Ufa Facebook. Our head of the State Transport Committee suggested that Ufa residents should enter buses through turnstiles. And, it seems that he, what is called, “hit the mines”. The civil society of Ufa said “no” this idea in a well reasoned and consolidated way. I listen to this. There won’t be any turnstiles. On Friday we will gather together, everyone competent in it and discuss what actually will be used”, wrote Radiy Khabirov on his Facebook page.

He also invited the Ufa blogger Vladimir Kobzev to take part in the discussion.

Earlier on social media, active residents of Ufa expressed their opinions about the proposal of the Republican State Transport Committee on the installation of turnstiles.

As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, the republic will buy 250 new high-capacity buses in the next two years. 183 small size buses will be replaced by the medium ones. Already 16 buses of the middle size were purchased. A single transport card will operate in all types of transport in the city.
