Average salary in Ufa reached 46.6 thousand rubles - 4th place among million-plus cities

Ufa ranked fourth in terms of the average monthly salary among the 16 million-plus cities of Russia for 2018 - 46.6 thousand rubles. The overall growth rate for the year was 10.1 percent. Oksana Dayanova, head of the state statistics department of Ufa, announced these data at a briefing session in the mayoralty.
The leader among the country's million-plus cities in terms of wages was Yekaterinburg - 51.5 thousand rubles. Krasnoyarsk ranked second, with an average salary of 50.6 thousand rubles last year.
Novosibirsk was slightly ahead of Ufa in the salary rating among the largest cities of the country. The average monthly salary in this city reached 46.9 thousand rubles in 2018.
As for the Bashkir capital, by the end of last year, the largest salaries were in the mining sector - 117.4 thousand rubles a month.
The average salary in the "Manufacturing" industry was 48.7 thousand rubles in Ufa.
The salary in the production of coke and petroleum products exceeded 88.1 thousand rubles last year.
The “Professional scientific and technical activities” took the fifth place with a salary of 69.4 thousand rubles.
