Insurance market in Bashkiria grew by almost 13 percent over year

Last year, insurance organizations concluded 3 million insurance contracts in Bashkortostan, 65.5% of them were voluntary insurance contracts. The volume of insurance premiums in 2018 grew by 12.8% and reached 19.7 billion rubles, the National Bank RB stated.

According to experts, the growth of the voluntary life insurance market was observed in the region. Compared to 2017, contributions in this segment increased by 6%, reaching 6.3 billion rubles, and the number of contracts increased by 33.3%. As a result, the share of this segment was 31.7% of the insurance market of the republic. Such growth was connected, among other things, with the increase in demand for mortgages.

Meanwhile, the total number of participants in the insurance market in Bashkiria decreased by 11% in 2018 - from 91 to 81, the National Bank summed up.
