Officials average salary grew twice as fast as that of ordinary citizens in Bashkiria

The average salary of executive officials in Bashkortostan was 57,099 rubles in 2018. In the municipalities, it was a little less - 42,429 rubles. At the same time, the average salary in the republic amounted to 38,637 rubles. The data are given by Rosstat Agency.

Over the past year, earnings of executive employees grew twice as fast as the population’s wages. Civil servants began to receive more by 20.5%, local government officials - by 23.6%, and ordinary citizens - by 11.1%.

Employees of regional departments of federal executive bodies receive an average of 43,821 rubles. This is 14.8% more than in 2017.

Also, statisticians found out that the lack of staffing in 2018 was observed in all bodies and organizations of Bashkortostan. In particular, civil servants in the government of the republic and other executive bodies total 3,701 people (94% staffing), 8,081 employees (92.7%) in territorial administrations, and 7,422 (97.4%) in municipalities.

According to Rosstat, 691.8 thousand people took civil service positions in the state bodies of the Russian Federation at the regional level in 2018. 299.8 thousand people were employed at the posts of municipal service.
