Radiy Khabirov: Sterlitamak surprised me with care rendered to city and its residents

Radiy Khabirov gave a good assessment of the Sterlitamak administration work and said that he was pleasantly surprised by the city after his working trip.

“It is obvious that in Sterlitamak local authorities and the head of the administration treat their hometown and its residents with care. Unfortunately, in recent years the city has not received full assistance from the republic, including the construction of social facilities. We will correct the situation and help the city”, said the head of Bashkortostan at a meeting with the city’s medical workers, which took place at the city’s children's hospital.

Before the meeting, Radiy Khabirov got acquainted with the work of the medical institution. The hospital has three branches, a hospital with 127 beds, five palliative beds. The hospital, along with clinics, serves 45,000 children in the city, and seven surrounding areas are also attached to it. The chief doctor of the hospital, Boris Sharipov, said that one of the main problems was the shortage of pediatricians, with which the city was provided only by 45%.

Radiy Khabirov noted that he was surprised by the fact that in Sterlitamak the availability of medical personnel was by 15% lower than the republican average.

Radiy Khabirov at a meeting with Sterlitamak medical workers noted that it might be necessary to revive the health departments in large cities that would supervise and coordinate all the work of medical institutions. In 2020–2021, Bashkortostan will receive two air ambulance helicopters as part of the national Healthcare project. In the republic sites for eight helicopter platforms are chosen. “The main thing is to have ready and qualified duty teams of air ambulance doctors. So far, according to my knowledge, there are no such teams, ”stated Radiy Khabirov.
