Unemployed number in Bashkiria decreased to 87 thousand people

According to the latest data, the number of unemployed in Bashkiria according to the methodology of the International Labor Organization (ILO) is about 87 thousand people. For comparison: a year ago in the region there were 110 thousand unemployed, according to the Ministry of Labor of the region.
The number of the employed population of the republic now exceeds 1.8 million people, which corresponds to the 55.8%. of population employment level.
The unemployment rate according to the ILO methodology is equal in Bashkiria to 4.5% of the economically active population. Nationwide, this figure is 4.8%, in the Volga Federal District - 4.4%.
Last year, the overall unemployment rate according to the ILO methodology reached 5.5% in Bashkiria, 5.1% in Russia, and 4.7% in the Volga Federal District.
Meanwhile, since the beginning of this year, the official status of the unemployed has been received by almost 10 thousand residents of the republic. This is 20% more than in January-February 2018.
The number of registered unemployed by March 1, 2019 exceeded 23.4 thousand people. This is by 3.8 thousand more unemployed than at the beginning of the year.
By March 1, the registered unemployment rate in Bashkiria was 1.17%, having increased from the beginning of the year by 0.19 percentage points.
At the same time, the registered unemployment rate in Ufa was 0.92%. On average, in cities of the republic it was 1.01%, in districts - 1.28%.
