Investment in Bashkiria should be doubled - Radiy Khabirov

The volume of investments in the Republic of Bashkortostan should be doubled. Radiy Khabirov, Acting Head of the republic, stated this during a speech at the “Hour of the Subject of the Russian Federation” at a session of the Federation Council. In 2018, 270 billion rubles were invested in the economy of Bashkiria, which did not correspond to its potential.

“The management team of our republic is intended to promote the economy, entrepreneurs of Bashkortostan proactively. We live in a competitive environment and plan to create an appropriate information background and favorable conditions for investors, ”said Radiy Khabirov at a briefing following the meeting of the “Hour of the Subject” in the Federation Council.

In the Federation Council, the republic presented several events and initiatives for the construction and reconstruction of social and infrastructural, environmental facilities, the implementation of which would accelerate the development of Bashkortostan and increase its investment attractiveness. If all these decisions are supported at the federal level, the republic will receive a strategic plan for its development.

The Chairman of the Federation Council of Russia, Valentina Matvienko also agreed with the fact that the republic’s potential was not fully exploited.

“I am pleased that the leadership of the republic has an understanding of further actions”, said the Speaker of the Federation Council at the “Hour of the Subject”. “It is nice to see that the head of the region is a modern, dynamic leader who had significant working experience in Moscow and is well acquainted with the republic. I know Radiy Khabirov personally as a reliable man of his words and deeds, and I hope that voters will trust you. The Federation Council is ready to provide the most active support to your initiatives, all the constructive proposals from the republic are considered in the final decision and will be further finalized. ”

The final document on the days of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the Federation Council will be adopted on March 21, after discussions and adjustments at the committees.
