Bashkiria lost 5.5 billion rubles of investment over year

Bashkiria missed for 2018 5.5 billion rubles of investments previously announced by big business for the implementation of several investment projects.

“In general, the volume of investments in fixed capital from all sources of financing for the full range of organizations amounted to about 268 billion rubles,” stated the Minister of Economic Development of Bashkiria Sergey Novikov. From the point of view of large business investments, we lost approximately 5.5 billion rubles in absolute terms. In terms of indicators in fixed assets, the republic did not receive an estimated 10.7 billion rubles, but 5.5 billion are absolute figures of enterprises”.

Meanwhile, as the minister stressed, for 2019 “we still set a task” to increase the volume of investments, as “we have all the necessary resources” for it.

As reported at the meeting, in 2018, improvement in investment indicators was observed in the construction industry enterprises (by 89.2%); in information and communication (by 41.7%), chemical production (by 9.3%).

Significant growth was provided by metallurgical industry (2.2 times), “repair and installation of machinery and equipment” (by 98.9%) and in the beverage industry (by 76.3%).

Due to the implementation of investment projects, there was an increase in investment volumes by 47.7 billion rubles. Thus, last year four investment projects were completed with a total investment of 36.1 billion rubles.

As for the forecast expectations for 2019, according to the results of the analysis of the Top-30 enterprises that form the main share of the region’s investment portfolio, investment growth is planned by 15 companies totaling 8.6 billion rubles, or 57.7% compared to the previous year.

Today, the investment portfolio of Bashkiria consists of 147 priority investment projects with funding of 504.1 billion rubles by 2024. Their implementation will create more than 23 thousand new jobs in agriculture, industry, tourism, construction industry.

This year, it is planned to complete about six priority investment projects of Bashkiria with a financing volume of 4.4 billion rubles and creation of more than 529 new jobs.
