Russian Commerce Chamber is ready to support Bashkiria in new PDA development

“The Commerce and Industry Chamber of Russia has a lot of experience in attracting investments in priority development areas (PDAs), and we perceived the Radiy Khabirov’s request for support from the Chamber as a guideline to follow”, said Vice-President of the Russian Commerce and Industry Chamber Dmitry Kurochkin. In Bashkortostan, there are now five cities that have received the status of priority development areas. At the Russian Investment Forum, which was held in February in Sochi, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced PDA creation (priority development areas) in Neftekamsk, Blagoveshchensk, and Beloretsk. Prior to this, Kumertau and Belebey received this status.

The vice-president of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry called the active attraction of investments in the regional economy the primary challenge and the most crucial task for the new leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bashkortostan.

“We are ready to assist in this, to share our experience. It takes time to analyze the situation, to understand where and how to organize your work, develop an algorithm for joint efforts, ”said Dmitry Kurochkin.

The Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who is a member of the expert council of the Federal Industrial Development Fund, said that just a few days ago they had approved an application from another company from Bashkortostan.

Ufa "Geophysika" company received approval of 179 million ruble loan under the "Development Projects" program for the production of geophysical equipment to search for oil and gas deposits. Currently, 95% of the Russian market for research using such drill-stem formation testers is occupied by foreign companies. After the implementation of the project, the share of the Bashkir company should grow up to 50% due to the use of own-produced formation testers.
