Gosstroy of Bashkortostan: reason for housing construction decline - fall in incomes

The Gosstroy of Bashkiria (State Committee for Construction) named the reasons for the decline in housing construction in 2018. First of all, this is a fall in real incomes of the population. In Russia, the volume of housing built decreased by 5%, in Bashkiria - by 7%. In comparison with 2017, the investments of residents of the republic in the purchase of real estate reduced by half. The indicator of housing construction reflected a significant reduction in individual housing construction. Last year, 1.4 million square meters - 84% compared to 2017.

Among the reasons for the decline in individual housing construction the State Committee also named the reduction of budget funding for the construction of engineering networks from 2 billion rubles in 2014 to 318 million in 2018. Accordingly, there was a shortage of free sites with infrastructure. Also, the outflow of the rural population to the cities was among the reasons.
