Igor Komarov visited high-tech production centers at UMPO

The Ufa Engine Industrial Association (UMPO) is conducting works now on creating three production and technology centers, which will house 250 units of high-tech equipment. The UMPO Managing Director Evgeny Semivelchenko told about it to the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov during his visit to the production and technology center No. 185, engaged in the release of the engine VK-2500 components within the import substitution program. These components are used for helicopter engines. More than 50 high-tech machines are installed in the production premises.

A year ago, in January 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited this center. He highly appreciated the scale of the expanding production and the technical equipment of the production and technology center No. 185.

The association produces turbojet engines for the Su-35, Su-27, Su-30 aircraft, as well as separate units for the Ka and Mi helicopters.

The UEC-UMPO, which is part of the United Engine Corporation Rostec, employs more than 23,000 people. The company is also a developer and lead manufacturer of the engine for the fifth generation fighter Su-57.
