Bashkiria intends to intensify volumes of housing construction

By 2024, the volume of housing commissioned annually in Bashkiria should be increased to 3.7 million square meters. It was said at a meeting in the republican Government with the participation of the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov.
“Within the framework of the key project “Housing”, the Ministry of Construction of Russia obliged our republic to increase the volume of annual housing construction substantially by 2024 - to 3.7 million square meters,” stated Acting Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov. “We will stimulate the construction of standard housing, prepare sites with a developed engineering and social infrastructure, improve the regulatory framework, and reduce the administrative workload on developers.”
As Radiy Khabirov emphasized, the republic also would lower mortgage rates.
“We have a good experience in the implementation of a housing savings system. Now we have achieved rates of 6.7 percent per annum. We are planning to bring them to 5-5.5 percent”, he added.
Recall that for the last year, about 2.3 million square meters of housing worth 188.6 billion rubles was built in the republic. Four hundred twenty-eight thousand square meters of the total area of commissioned residential houses were accounted for December.
Following the results of 11 months of 2018, among the regions of the Volga Federal District, Bashkortostan ranks second in residential buildings commissioning, and third in housing commissioning per capita.
As previously reported by Bashinform News Agency the total amount of financing regional projects until 2024 will be about 180 billion rubles. Nearly 46 billion of them will be extrabudgetary funds.
This year, it is expected to receive more than 15 billion rubles from the federal budget. It is 44 percent of the total funds provided for in the current year for the implementation of regional projects.
