In Sochi agreement was signed with French company on launch of smart city project in Ufa

One of the world's oldest corporations, leading its history from the Suez Canal project (Egypt) in the middle of the 19th century - the French company SUEZ will help Bashkortostan to develop and implement projects aimed at eliminating the accumulated environmental damage and transforming Ufa into «smart» and resource efficient city.

The capital of Bashkortostan should become a city that provides utilities of the highest international standards while optimizing operating costs and existing resources.

The French company is a world leader in the field of industrial and municipal waste management, water supply and water treatment management, specializes in the modern urban environment management system, as well as waste and water management. The agreement was signed by Radiy Khabirov and the head of the strategy committee of the SUEZ group of companies, the vice president of SUEZ Italy, Central and Eastern - Europe, Russia, and the CIS, Diana Galb. It is stated in it that the company is ready to design and implement the most modern processes, technologies for the liquidation of accumulated environmental damage from production activities in areas of strategic importance for maintaining environmental safety.

The global turnover of the corporation in 2017 amounted to 15.8 billion euros. In Bashkortostan, SUEZ implemented an innovative flagship project for the creation and maintenance of the largest complex of biological treatment plants, Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim. The complex with a capacity of 84 thousand cubic meters per day is second to none both in Russia and in the countries of Eurasia.
