Russian Investment Forum opens in Sochi

The Russian Investment Forum begins in Sochi today, on February 14. A representative delegation of Bashkortostan takes part, led by the Acting Head of the republic Radiy Khabirov takes part in it.
Representatives of government, business, and the expert community will discuss various aspects of the implementation of national projects at the investment forum, which will be held for two days.
This year, in addition to the business program, a case-zone will operate in Sochi, where they will discuss topical issues in interactive formats.
The forum in Sochi is traditionally a platform for the presentation of the investment and economic potential of Russia. In 2019 more than four thousand participants were registered to it. The forum annually concludes several hundred contracts and agreements.
Radiy Khabirov will take part in several panel discussions and plans to hold dozens of meetings with the heads of federal ministries and departments, major Russian companies. He will also participate in the plenary session of the investment forum, which will be held by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
Bashkortostan presents a separate exposition at the forum, where meetings with investors will also take place, and it is planned to sign several agreements in the sphere of industrial production and the agro-industrial complex.
Within the framework of the forum, it is planned to sign investment agreements with large Russian and foreign companies for a total amount of more than 35 billion rubles, agreements on cooperation with regions and non-profit organizations.
The business program of the Russian Investment Forum in 2019 includes three main sections: “Business Climate in Russia,” “Regional Policy” and “New Social Agenda.”
