Dmitry Medvedev assessed investment potential of Bashkortostan

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev visited a stand of Bashkortostan at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi. The Acting Head of the republic Radiy Khabirov on an interactive map showed and told about the investment opportunities of the region, about major projects that will expand the economic prospects of the republic.
The Prime Minister of Russia also examined a construction project of the oriented strand board plant by “SibayPlitProm” LLC. Investments are planned in the amount of 24 billion rubles. The plant will be built on the site of a former sawmill near the village of Mukasovo in the Baymak district using the most modern technologies that will allow processing of all non-commercial timber prevailing in the Trans-Urals. The production capacity of the enterprise is 1 million cubic meters of wood and 570 thousand cubic meters of slabs per year. The Russian Direct Investment Fund may become a co-investor of the project. More than 1,000 people will be provided with jobs, including at related production facilities.
Dmitry Medvedev praised the investment opportunities of Bashkortostan.
“Good, large projects with great economic potential and a social component, please work actively on their implementation,” the Russian Prime Minister said in a conversation with the head of Bashkortostan.
