In Bashkortostan this year, a project for the training of professional babysitters will be launched. The republic is among seven pilot regions of Russia. An agreement on this was signed yesterday in Sochi within the framework of the specialized forum “Healthy Society. On the Way to 80+”, which takes place on the eve of the Russian Investment Forum. The document signed between the government of Bashkortostan and the interregional charitable public organization “Social Network of Volunteer Initiatives “SOSEDI” provides for the creation of a regional center for vocational training and certification of babysitters. It will be engaged in the selection, accompanying of training and organization of internships for babysitters. The chairman of the Co-ordination Council of the SOSEDI organization, Sergey Rybalchenko, said that Bashkortostan became the first region in the country with which such an agreement was signed.
“In each of seven pilot regions, at least 50 babysitters will be trained at the first stage. This project does not require co-financing from the regions; it is implemented through presidential grants. Now 600 thousand children live in Russia in municipalities where there are no preschool institutions. The goal of the project is to increase the availability and variation in care and supervision of children under three years of age. In France, which experience we used, 300 thousand certified, trained babysitters are raising 1 million French children. That is, the potential in our country is huge for this market, ”said Sergey Rybalchenko.
According to the Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Lenara Ivanova, after training in the regional center, professional, certified babysitters will enter the labor market, and they will have all the competencies.
