Bashkiria will receive 686 million rubles for construction of annex to oncology center building in Ufa

For two years, Bashkortostan will receive 686 million rubles of federal funds for the construction of an extension to the existing surgical building of the Republican Clinical Oncology Center. The corresponding order is published on the website of the Government of Russia.

The funds are allocated in 2019-2020 under the program "Healthcare Development". In 2019, 500 million rubles will be allocated, in 2020, 185.7 million rubles; commissioning is planned for 2020.

It is planned to accommodate 240 beds for 450 visits per shift in the extension.

As reported by the Bashinform News Agency in 2019, it is planned to put into operation a new surgical building of the Republican Oncology Center. It is designed to solve the problem with the accommodation of patients.

The new building will be equipped with the funds from the “Combatting Oncological Diseases” federal program. About 700 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes, as well as for re-equipment of other oncological services in the region (in Sterlitamak, Oktyabrsky, Neftekamsk).

In addition, by the end of 2024, eight cancer treatment centers are planned to be established in Bashkiria, which will not only diagnose diseases but also conduct treatment. Two billion rubles are allocated for their equipment.
