Southern tourists will like snow and grass in Bashkir

Snow and fresh grass were called factors that could attract tourists from the southern regions to Bashkiria. The representative of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism Sofia Koshirovskaya and Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Crimea Alexei Chernyak said About this at the Regional Tourism Forum held in Ufa on February 8.

“First of all, winter activities, as well as ethnographic and gastronomic tourism are among priorities,” the Crimean official said. “Many Israelis have never seen winter and snow. It is a real fairy tale. Live grass filled with juices is also a rarity for us”, the representative of Israel supported her colleague.

According to Roman Shaykhutdinov, deputy head of the State Committee for Tourism of Bashkortostan, according to the results of the winter holidays, Ufa entered the top ten in terms of the number of arrivals. In general, over the past year, the growth of domestic tourist traffic was 15%. “Concerning the outbound flow, we can only take into account the 7%-growth in revenue of travel agencies (after all, they mainly sell touristic trips). It does not reflect the number of tourists since the price of tourist products has increased, but it is clear that this direction is in demand”, said the official.

The representative of Intourist, Sergei Tolchin, quoted the statistics from his company: “The situation is generally positive. Our monitoring shows that the volume of outbound flow from your air hub was about 10% to 2017, the main beneficiary is Turkey, due to large-scale charter programs”.
