Radiy Khabirov introduced personal responsibility for improving investment climate in Bashkiria

UFA, 8 February 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov introduced a personal responsibility of the heads of state structures and organizations in the republic for each indicator of the National Investment Climate Rating of the regions of Russia. Corresponding changes were made to the distribution of indicators of this rating.
The document was prepared on the recommendations of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development RB, the introduction of personal responsibility of heads of state structures will increase the effectiveness of work on creating a favorable investment climate and reducing administrative barriers in doing business.
In the National Investment Climate Rating of Russian subjects, Bashkiria occupies a quite high 23rd place, but we should get complacent, Sergei Bocharov, the Head of the Representative Office of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in the Volga Federal District, stated in November.
The National Investment Climate Rating assesses the efforts of regional authorities to create favorable business conditions and identifies best practices, and its results stimulate competition in the struggle for investment at the regional level.
Pilot testing of the National Rating was held in 2014 in 21 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The first full-scale rating was conducted in 2015. The work of regional teams in creating comfortable conditions for business was estimated in 76 regions of the country. Bashkiria then took the 40th place.
In 2016, the study covered all 85 regions of Russia, and Bashkiria in the ranking rose to the 20th place. In 2017, all regions of the country participated in the rating on general terms. Fifty-one regions showed an overall growth of the integral indicator compared to the previous year, including Bashkiria (13th place). In 2018, 78 regions showed growth in the rating, and Bashkortostan, on the contrary, dropped to the 23rd place.
