Radiy Khabirov: UMPO is unique enterprise of 21st century

On February 6, the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov held a meeting with the management of the UMPO company during his visit to the plant.

“We discussed the support measures that the republic can provide for the plant to develop and, most importantly, to have orders. That is why we should work together. We live in a competitive world. There are only a few enterprises that produce the nodes that are assembled here”, said Radiy Khabirov, answering journalists questions.

According to him, in the near future, he plans to meet with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, Gazprom and share some information with them. Radiy Khabirov said that the meeting considered a rather large circle of social issues of the company, options for the engine building development for civil aviation.

The head of Bashkortostan noted that after visiting the production departments of UMPO, he had a very nice, positive impression.

“This is an unprecedentedly significant, unique enterprise with a long history, possessing the highest competencies in mechanical engineering. It has an excellent, well-coordinated team, a lot of young people, graduates of Ufa State Aviation Technical University. It is important that the company keeps up with the times, applies modern technologies. I was struck by some workshops that give the impression of a modern European factory. This is an enterprise of the 21st century, ”said Radiy Khabirov.
