Bank of Russia launched Internet robot to search for financial pyramids

The Central Bank of Russia launched an Internet robot to search for financial pyramids, according to «Izvestia».

As noted by the Central Bank, the robot can work with primitive requests, searching for where to "invest money", and behaves like an ordinary person. At the same time, he responds to companies that are in search of potential clients-investors. After the robot detects a similar firm, the regulator will decide whether its activities are legal.

Also, search for financial pyramids is conducted offline with the help of citizens and the media.

Earlier it was reported that the State Duma in February – March 2019 could finally adopt a bill on the pre-trial blocking of websites that contain advertising pyramid schemes.

The draft law provides for pre-trial blocking of Internet resources that mislead clients of financial organizations with the content, design or similarity of domain names, and also offer financial services that they are not entitled to provide.
