Special economic zone will be created in Bashkiria

A special economic zone (SEZ) will be created in the Ishimbay district of Bashkortostan. Sergey Novikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic, presented a project at the “Investment Hour” session yesterday. The head of the department noted that this would be a powerful industrial complex with precious natural resources, professional staff, and ready-made transport infrastructure.

“We will take the Alabuga SEZ in Tatarstan as a basis of creating a SEZ in the Ishimbay district,” the press service of the head RB quoted Novikov. “Tomorrow a delegation from our republic leaves for the neighboring region for the experience exchange”.

The head of the region Radiy Khabirov heard the report and approved the idea of creating the special economic zone. He instructed to speed up the application process to the Russian Government and start searching for anchor resident investors.
