Italian scientists and farmers will open "meat business school" in Bashkiria

UFA, 1 February 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Azat Gizatullin/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
Bashkir farmers engaged in beef cattle breeding will soon start studying at a “meat business school”. Representatives of the Italian company Gruppo Cremonini and the University of Bologna (Italy) will share their knowledge and competencies with specialists from agricultural enterprises of the republic, farmers and farming cooperatives. This week an agreement on this was signed during the visit of the Italian delegation to Bashkiria.
“We see a great potential of Bashkortostan in the beef cattle development”, said Mark Tassinari, Professor at the School of Veterinary Medicine, the University of Bologna, at a meeting following the signing of agreements. “There are right natural and climatic conditions, a territory, an excellent training base at the Agrarian University, and farmers who want to learn. And we will be happy to tell you how to provide beef cattle with proper care and feeding”.
The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs that during the visit an agreement was signed between Bashkir Agrarian University and the University of Bologna. It provides for training of specialists in the field of veterinary medicine, internship programs for students, graduate students, and teachers, conducting joint research and development technologies for the maintenance and feeding of beef cattle. The Interim Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov noted that it was essential not only to provide knowledge. It is crucial “to get school graduates” as ready-made specialists able to work with beef cattle professionally, including to transfer it for further fattening in the feedlots of the Cremonini company located in the territory of the republic. Another important factor is to support the school graduates in the process of their work. So that at any time they could get advice from experts. The Italian guests agreed with the importance of this approach.
