12 thousand products are marked with “Product of Bashkortostan” label

The “Product of Bashkortostan” now marks more than 12 thousand items of various products. About 400 manufacturers of food and non-food products are participating in the project, the region's State Committee for Trade reports.

Last year 107 republican enterprises joined the “Product of Bashkortostan” project with the right to label more than 5 thousand names of their products.

As noted at the board meeting of the Bashkortostan State Committee for Trade, about one-third of the project participants are actively developing interregional cooperation, supplying their products to more than 50 regions of Russia.

Guzel Asylova, the chairman of the State Committee of RB Trade and Consumer Protection, invited all republican producers to join the “Product of Bashkortostan” project and at the same time noted that the retail chains had stopped marking locally produced goods on store shelves.

“It is not difficult to put the “ Product of Bashkortostan” sign to attract the attention of buyers to local products,” she believes.

To analyze the situation with the promotion of republican producers products, the State Trade Committee monitors the representation of republican products in federal and regional retail chains, in non-chain stores, and markets by 23 groups of socially significant products.

On average in the republic, the representation of local goods on store shelves is now about 70%.

Of all the trade formats, the smallest representation of local products is observed in federal chain stores - 53%. The share of republican chains accounts for 67%, corner-shops - 75%, markets - 79%.
