Bashkiria doubled its exports of agricultural products

Bashkiria more than doubled the volume of agricultural products exports - from $36 million in 2017 to $75 million in 2018 (with a plan of $ 60 million). According to the Ministry of Agriculture RB, the growth was influenced by 5-time grain exports increase, up to 348 thousand tons. Grain is accounted for half of the total export structure of agricultural products (48%). Also, agricultural producers of Bashkiria exported oilseeds (2.9%), sunflower and rapeseed oil (26%), sugar (7%), dairy products (4%), feed (5.4%), other products (5.6%). This is the data for the 11 months of last year. Products of the Bashkir agricultural sector were delivered to Iran, Egypt, Turkey, Israel, Bangladesh, Germany, Belgium, Latvia, Saudi Arabia, Lithuania, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan. In the future, the Ministry of Agriculture expects to include in the export list cheeses, sausage, butter, honey, condensed milk, cereals, canned fruits, and vegetables. By 2024, it is planned to increase exports to $108 million. Republican exports in 2018 are tentatively estimated, according to the Federal Customs Service, to more than $3.75 billion.
