Bashkiria may receive 1.5 billion rubles for Eastern exit construction in Ufa

This year Bashkiria may receive 1.5 billion rubles for the construction of the Eastern exit from Ufa. The Chairman of the State Committee RB for Transport and Road Management Timur Mukhametianov stated this on Saturday at a meeting of the Presidium of the regional Government chaired by Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov. According to Mukhametianov, the issue of financing this facility from the federal budget for the year 2019 is currently under consideration. Recently, it was discussed at a meeting of the delegation of the Republican State Committee for Transport with representatives of the relevant federal agency in Moscow.

“We understand that the Ministry of Transport of Russia already this year has an opportunity to provide us with inter-budgetary transfers in the amount of 1.5 billion rubles for the construction of the Eastern Exit from Ufa. At the same time, the total amount of federal financing of the facility is expected to be about 20 billion rubles”, Timur Mukhametianov told in an interview with the BST TV channel.

As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, the project is planned to be implemented in the form of a concession. An agreement on this was signed last summer by the republican Government and Bashkir Concession Company LLC at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The total investment will make about 34 billion rubles. The term of the concession agreement is 25 years. Of these, four years is devoted to the construction of a transport corridor.

The agreement covers a road tunnel, a bridge over the Ufa River in the alignment of the Halle Street, a section of the road from the bridge over the Ufa River to the M-5 “Ural” federal highway as well as a toll point and a road maintenance company.

As emphasized by the State Committee for Transport, the implementation of this large-scale project will create an additional exit from the territory of the Ufa Peninsula, which will be an attractive alternative for drivers.
