Bashkiria exported almost 350 thousand tons of grain in 2018

Bashkortostan shipped 533.8 thousand tons of grain in 2018, of which 347.8 thousand were exported. According to the data of the territorial Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance), the growth of grain supplies abroad to the level of the previous year increased 5.3 times. Most of the grain was shipped from the region by railway - 486.2 thousand tons, the export part amounted to 299.9 thousand tons. In 2018, 47.9 thousand tons of grain, or 27 barges were shipped by water transport from Ilishevsky elevator of the republic (an increase of 3.8 times compared to the same period last year). The transshipment for export took place through the ports of Rostov-on-Don and Astrakhan.

Total, according to the Rosselkhoznadzor territorial departments as of January 15, 2019, 34.5 million tons of grain and its products were exported from the territory of Russia in the 2018/2019 agricultural year, taking into account the deliveries to the territory of the countries of the Customs Union. This is by 2% more than the volume of the previous season.
