Bashkiria is among top ten best tourist regions of Russia during New Year's holidays-2019

The top ten Russian regions among tourists on New Year's holidays in 2019 included the Moscow Region, Krasnodar Territory, the Vologda Region, the Vladimir Region, the Crimea, Bashkortostan, the Tyumen Region, the Saratov Region, Tatarstan and the Tver Region.

According to the rating of New Year's tourism in Russia-2019, which was prepared by the TourStat agency, Bashkortostan took the sixth place with an indicator of 179 thousand tourists, which is by 20% more than in the New Year holidays of 2018.

The Top 5 tourist cities included Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, and Veliky Ustyug. Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi, Sheregesh in the Kemerovo Region, Dombai and Arkhyz in Karachay-Cherkessia, Elbrus region in Kabardino-Balkaria were among the top five best resorts.

Over the past long weekend, more than seven million tourists traveled around Russia, which is by 10% more than last year.

The rating is based on the results of the regional tourism data analysis during the New Year holidays.
