Bashkiria agrarians intend to increase greenhouse vegetables production

UFA, 17 January 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
Several rural areas of Bashkortostan focus on the development of greenhouses. One of the largest farms developing this area is “Alekseevsky” State Farm in the Ufa district. There are large greenhouse agricultural enterprises in Tuymazy, Karmaskaly, and Buzdyak districts.
The founder of the greenhouse movement in the republic was the Tuymazy district. It is intended to further increase the production of greenhouse vegetables here. Currently, the area of greenhouses for growing vegetables occupies about 200 hectares in the district. Total, there are 60 greenhouses in the territory of the rural municipality, which are united by the “Tuimazynets” agricultural enterprise.
In 2018, Tuymazy farmers invested about 140 million rubles in the construction of frame greenhouses. Up to 2020, it is planned to modernize up to 8 hectares of greenhouses annually.
Yesterday, a round table was held in Tuymazy with the heads of farms and rural settlements, during which they discussed the prospects for the development of greenhouses and their state support.
Bashkiria is among the three leaders in the country in the production of greenhouse vegetables. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, in this sphere the leaders among the subjects of the Russian Federation are Krasnodar Territory, where about 76 thousand tons of greenhouse vegetables are grown, the Stavropol Territory - about 50 thousand tons, the Republic of Bashkortostan - about 37 thousand tons, the Republic of Tatarstan - more than 36 thousand tons, the Lipetsk region - about 30 thousand tons.
