Ufa is among Top 10 million-plus cities with highest prices for apartments

Analysts of the Domofond.ru real estate website analyzed the price trends for apartments in new buildings in the cities of Russia for a year.
In December 2018, Moscow retained its leadership in the cost per square meter. The cost of the "square" in new buildings by the end of the year amounted to almost 210 thousand rubles in the Russian capital.
The second place went to the Crimean Alushta. An average of 124.5 thousand rubles per square meter is asked here.
St. Petersburg took the third place with a cost of 118.7 thousand rubles.
The first two places in the ranking of million-plus cities have not changed: they are taken by Moscow and St. Petersburg. Third place went to Kazan in 2018. In the capital of Tatarstan, the price per square meter reached 76.6 thousand rubles in the new buildings.
The fourth place is taken by Yekaterinburg - 70.5 thousand rubles per square meter.
The top five is closed by Nizhny Novgorod - 67.8 thousand rubles.
The capital of Bashkiria - Ufa - ranks sixth in the ranking. The cost of one square meter in the new housing was estimated at 65.4 thousand rubles in the Bashkir capital on average.
The top ten million-plus cities with the highest prices for apartments in new buildings also included: Novosibirsk, Perm, Krasnoyarsk, and Rostov-on-Don.
According to analysts, apart from Kazan and St. Petersburg, a significant increase in the cost per square meter in new buildings was noted in Perm (10%), Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk (9%), Ufa and Krasnodar (8%).
Slightly rising prices for new apartments were observed in Chelyabinsk and Moscow (3%), Yekaterinburg (4%), Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don and Omsk (5%).
