Tourists number in Bashkiria increased by 20% during New Year's holidays

Tourist flow in Bashkortostan increased by 20% during the New Year holidays compared with the last year. Over 10 days of the New Year holidays, more than 179 thousand people visited the holiday venues and outdoor recreation centers.

According to the State Committee for Tourism and Entrepreneurship, the occupancy rate of hotels and sanatoriums of the republic significantly exceeded last year's figures and amounted to 39%. The occupancy rate of separate sanatoriums, tourist centers, and hotels was almost 100% during peak periods.

The number of visitors to natural parks and national reserves of the republic more than doubled. Ski resorts became attractive for tourists, the number of their visitors amounted to more than 65 thousand people. This exceeds last year’s figure by 17%.

“The increase in tourist flow to the ski resorts of the republic was positively influenced by a launch of the high-speed train “Legend of the Urals” on the route Ufa - Beloretsk - Abzakovo”, the representatives of the State Committee for Tourism believe.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Bashkortostan, 600,000 residents and guests of the republic visited all municipal New-Year Children’s Parties for the entire period of the New Year and Christmas holidays from December 20, 2018, to January 10, 2019.
