Bashkortostan farmers will receive more than 238 million of damage compensation due to vagaries of weather

The Government of Russia signed a decree on the provision of funds to the regions for compensation for damage from emergency situations associated with dangerous agrometeorological phenomena.

According to the document, Bashkortostan received 238.3 million rubles. The subsidies to compensate for damage caused by natural emergencies have already been directed to the accounts of agricultural producers of the republic.

In the spring and summer of 2018, atmospheric and soil drought, dry winds, heavy rain and hail were observed in some regions of the region. In the territories of 19 districts and the city of Kumertau, where dangerous agrometeorological phenomena were recorded, an emergency situation was introduced. Total, 223 agricultural enterprises of the region were affected in an area of 105.6 thousand hectares.
