Bashkortostan is ready to become pilot region for rural areas development project

Bashkortostan can claim to become a pilot region for the national project on rural areas development. This was announced to the Interfax-Volga region agency by the Interim Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.

“We need to pay special attention to the development of rural areas in Russia, and this area can become a separate national project,” said the Deputy Prime Minister RF Alexei Gordeyev at a discussion platform on rural development issues at the United Russia congress.

Ilshat Fazrakhmanov noted that the republic supported this idea.

“Considering our experience and effective practice of implementing the subprogram “Sustainable development of rural areas of the Republic of Bashkortostan”, we can act as a pilot region for this national project,” said the head of the agricultural department.

Over the past four years (2014–2017), more than 6 billion rubles have been allocated to the implementation of the rural development program. The volume of subsidies in 2019 will amount to 1 billion rubles, including 578.7 million from the federal budget and 431.9 million from the regional budget.
