Ufa took only 41st place in budget capacity rating of Russian cities

A blogger Ilya Varlamov has published a rating of cities budget capacity. He analyzed their per capita budget. Ufa took the 41st place, having climbed nine positions since last year. In 2018, 23,200 budget rubles were accounted per one Ufa resident.

The top three this year has not changed again: the largest budgets in terms of per capita were Moscow (168,200 rubles), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (119,600) and St. Petersburg (103,500).

Simferopol showed the fastest growth in the rating, where the airport and new interchanges were built, as well as Saransk: the capital of Mordovia was prepared for the FIFA World Cup.

“In general, among the cities of the World Cup, not taking into account Moscow and St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don became the richest, and Kazan, oddly enough, was the poorest (54th place in the ranking, 19,500 rubles per inhabitant). But since Kazan has become even better this year, I think the city can be an example of efficient spending of budget funds”, Varlamov reports.

The Bashinform News Agency published an article with the analysis of the Ufa budget in 2019. The revenues and spending of the capital of Bashkortostan in the coming year will amount to 24.75 billion rubles. This is by three billion rubles more than a year earlier, largely due to the growth of republican and federal support.
