Quarter of employers plan to reduce staff in Russia in 2019

UFA, 19 December 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
Nearly a quarter of Russian employers plan to start the year of 2019 with staff reductions, and 18 percent would like to expand. "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" reports about it with reference to the survey conducted by Rabota.ru.
According to the website, most of the cuts will affect employees from the media, marketing, and food sectors. Least of all this will affect companies that provide services to businesses.
The survey also showed that 33 percent of companies plan to organize training for their employees early next year. Basically, it refers to businesses in the IT and financial sector, as well as companies providing services to businesses. Employers from the construction sector are the least willing to invest in staff training.
The researchers also found that in early 2019, 25 percent of employers plan to introduce a new system of employee remuneration and revise key performance indicators. In addition, 20 percent of enterprises plan to open new areas of their activities.
The survey was conducted among 300 companies from various fields.
