City development strategy was adopted in Ufa

UFA, 19 December 2018. /Bashinform News Agency., Rozaliya Valeeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.In Ufa, deputies adopted a Strategy for the Social and Economic Development of Ufa until 2030, the city budget for 2019, and the planning period of 2020 and 2021.

The document outlined out the main parameters of the socio-economic development of the city for the next 12 years: a forecast of the socio-economic development of the city, mechanisms, and tools for implementing the Strategy. Proposals for a list of municipal programs in the context of the Ufa socio-economic development were also formulated and priority development projects for the city were identified.

The main strategic goal of Ufa is to improve the quality of life of townspeople, the level of urban economic development, infrastructure, and socio-economic development.

The Strategy was developed by the Institute of Social and Economic Research of the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. More than a thousand people made proposals to the project, it was repeatedly discussed at work committees by deputies and invited experts. The city council also received written appeals from Ufa residents regarding changes to the document.

In November of this year, public hearings were held on the draft Strategy 2030, when everybody could submit their proposals. More than 600 people took part in the hearings, most of whom were quite critical. Many of the ideas suggested by citizens, experts, and deputies during the discussion of the project, were reflected in the final version of the document, the press service of the City Council informs.
