Silica gel production will be launched in Bashkiria

UFA, 17 December 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. It is planned to open a plant for the production of silica gel in the Bashkir city of Sterlitamak. The project provides for the creation of 59 jobs, the volume of investments will amount to 140 million rubles. This was announced at a meeting of the commission for the review and selection of investment projects for inclusion in the list of Priority Investment Projects of Bashkortostan. Four new projects were considered there; in total, they suppose a creation of 336 jobs.

The company "RIMAR silicageli" plans to build a plant for the production of silica gel for domestic purposes in 2019. According to the project, the capacity of the plant is about three thousand tons per year.

It should be noted that the production of silica gel in Sterlitamak will be the first in Russia.

Silica gel is a dried gel formed from supersaturated solutions of silicic acids at pH> 5-6. It is used as a solid hydrophilic sorbent.
