BMK presented new equipment to consumers and rope traders

Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant (JSC BMK, a member of the Mechel Group) was visited by more than 40 representatives of heavy engineering enterprises and cable products traders from Russia and the near abroad. They visited the BMK new industrial complex and examined a manufacturing process of multi-strand ropes, including import-substituting ones - with polymer coating.

After the tour, there was a “round table” where the parties agreed on the supply of test batches of polymer coated ropes to the Kuzbass coal mining enterprise and to one of the companies of the European Union.

The complex of equipment for the production of multi-strand ropes, including with polymer coating, was commissioned at JSC BMK on December 4, 2018. The project cost was about 511 million rubles. It was implemented with the support of the Industry Development Fund of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and with the participation of the company's own funds. Ropes from 22 to 90 mm in diameter with 6-12 strands, coated with polymer, are in demand in the mining and oil producing industries, as well as in the bridge and shipbuilding.
