Radiy Khabirov: deforestation is severe problem, we will pay special attention to it

Residents of the Tirlyansky village, when communicating with the head of the republic, asked Radiy Khabirov to pay attention to the problem of logging in the Beloretsk district. According to them, the forest in the area is not always cut down legally, with paying enough attention to its restoration. The head of the republic noted that “the deforestation is a severe problem”, and he will pay special attention to it.

“In the republic, we have now begun to solve issues of quarrying - three criminal cases were initiated. The forest matters are also in our area of attention, and I know that logging companies often simply do not think about the preservation of our natural wealth”, said Radiy Khabirov.

According to him, the hunting issues are also subject of much attention in the republic.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that the level of forest violations in Bashkortostan was still high. As part of the monitoring and control measures this year, 2300 violations were revealed, which is 11 percent more than in the same period of 2017. 526 facts of illegal logging of forest stands were established, as a result of which damage to the budget amounted to more than 111 million rubles.
