Radiy Khabirov: Bashkortostan and Stavropol Territory have close and fruitful relations

Today, the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov have signed additional documents to the agreement on trade and economic cooperation between the two regions. The agreement was signed a year ago.

“More than one hundred children from Bashkiria visited health resorts of our region. This is the beginning of our cooperation in this area. I know that there are a lot of worthy and beautiful places in your republic. Our commodity turnover is rising - primarily due to the growth of the economy of Bashkortostan and our region. Bashkiria is the largest machine-building region. It is of great help for Stavropol, especially for the growth of the agriculture export potential. We have also agreed to exchange business missions. The market of Bashkiria is premium, and therefore it is one of the key ones for our enterprises. For example, we are selling about 12 thousand tons of greenhouse vegetables in the republic”, the Governor of Stavropol said during a press scrum answering a question by the Bashinform News Agency.

According to Vladimir Vladimirov, the regions of the country should solve big ambitious tasks set by the May Decree of the Russian president.

“We should achieve double growth in the economy in six years. The tasks set by the head of state are at the core of the documents signed today, and we will solve them together. Today, the trade turnover between our regions is $14 million, which means that this figure should at least double”.

The head of Bashkortostan supported his colleague, saying that the regions should not only double their economic indicators. According to Radiy Khabirov, it is necessary to solve the issues of infant mortality, increase in life expectancy, and reduce mortality from cardiovascular and oncological diseases.

“The May decree of the President of Russia is a big ambitious task, is a master plan for the future, a unique opportunity to break through for the country, and our two regions, in particular,” said Radiy Khabirov.

The head of the republic believes that Bashkortostan and the Stavropol Territory have close and fruitful relations. The Governor of Stavropol studied at Ufa State Petroleum Technological University.

According to Radiy Khabirov, Vladimir Vladimirov invited the next year a large delegation of Bashkortostan to the Stavropol Territory, so that the republic’s entrepreneurs could see all the possibilities of the region by themselves and could lead joint projects.

The head of Bashkortostan told reporters that the republic was ready to supply petrochemical products, industrial products to the Stavropol region and to adopt the region’s experience in advanced farming methods.
