Bashkiria and Turkey strengthen trade, economic and humanitarian ties

A delegation of the Consulate General of Turkey in Kazan, headed by Consul General Ahmet Sadik Dogan, is in Ufa on an official visit. As part of a two-day program of visiting the capital of the republic, a meeting was held between the Consul General and the Prime Minister of the Government RB Rustem Mardanov. The parties discussed the prospects of trade, economic and humanitarian relations.

According to the press service of the republican government, the Prime Minister suggested training specialists for the Turkish oil and gas industry using the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University facilities. This is especially relevant in the light of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline implementation.

The Consul General of Turkey in Kazan focused on enhancing cooperation in the field of trade and interregional cooperation.

The press service of the State Committee RB for Foreign Economic Relations reported that during the stay in Ufa, the Consul General of Turkey also held a number of other meetings. Discussions were held on issues of joint cooperation in the field of medicine, sanatorium-resort treatment and health tourism in the "Zelenaya Roscha" sanatorium with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Health RB and the State Committee RB for Entrepreneurship and Tourism. Interaction in the field of higher education and the study of cultural heritage was considered together with the leadership and faculty of Bashkir State University. In the Chamber of Commerce and Industry RB, the Consul General met with the Chairman of the State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations RB Ruslan Mirsayapov, Vice-President of the CCI RB Bulat Asadullin and business circles of Bashkortostan. The business program of the first day of the visit ended with a meeting of the Consul General with the chairman of Russia's Central Spiritual Governance for Muslims of Russia, Supreme Mufti Talgat Tajuddin.
