Radiy Khabirov discussed construction of cement plant in Trans-Urals with Chinese investors

UFA, 29 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov discussed with the Chinese investors a large-scale project on a cement plant construction in the city of Sibay. It is assumed that the total investment will be about 13 billion rubles.

The meeting was attended by Li Lejun, Chairman of the Board of Sichuan Junghe Environmental Protection Company CJSC, Zhang Jinhui, General Director of Sichuan-Sibay Industrial Park, LLC, the Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Government Office RB Ilshat Tazhitdinov and Mayor of Sibay Rustem Afzalov.

The meeting discussed the parameters of the investment project in the Trans-Urals, the construction terms and the obligations of the parties, the press service of the republican Government informs.

As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, the delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan visited the People's Republic of China at the invitation of the Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Yin Li and the Mayor of the People's Government of Leshan City Zhang Ton in September.

The purpose of the visit was to establish and strengthen foreign economic and socio-cultural relations between the regions of the two countries, making decisions aimed at implementing investment projects in the Trans-Urals.

The Bashkir delegation visited the largest cement plant in Sichuan Province — "Esheng Group" located in Leshan city. This enterprise has a capacity of 12 million tons of cement per year, fully covering the province's needs for cement. The production, which is planned to be opened in Sibay, will be organized with similar equipment using the same technologies but will have a lower capacity — about 2 million tons per year.

For the first time, an agreement on the cement plant construction by the Chinese company was reached in June 2016 within the framework of the Trans-Urals 2016 Economic Forum. The implementation of the project would create more than 300 jobs, and initially - for human power from China. Later, local employees are to appear at the enterprise, and in the future, it is assumed that the team will grow to a thousand people. In January 2017, the Ministry of Economic Development RB included the plant in the list of priority investment projects. The company was supposed to open by 2018, but its construction has not yet begun.
