Delegation of Turkey Consulate General in Kazan is paying visit to Bashkiria

UFA, 29 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. A delegation of the Turkish Consulate General in Kazan headed by Consul General Ahmet Sadik Dogan arrived in Ufa on an official visit today.

“The purpose of the visit is to develop bilateral relations between Turkey and Bashkortostan in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres,” said Ilgizar Sanyarov, the press secretary of the State Committee RB for Foreign Economic Relations.

The two-day program of the Turkish delegation’s stay in Ufa includes meetings with the leadership of Bashkortostan, republican authorities, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry RB, the administration of Ufa, Bashkir State University. In addition, a meeting is scheduled with the chairman of Russia's Central Spiritual Governance for Muslims, the Supreme Mufti Talgat Tajuddin.

In the first 9 months of 2018, Turkey was among the Top-10 trading partners of Bashkortostan. The volume of foreign trade turnover reached 167.4 million US dollars, an increase of 1.4 times compared with January-September last year.

In the first 9 months of this year, exports of Bashkortostan to Turkey amounted to $ 163.3 million. Mainly fuel and energy products and chemical products were supplied there.

Imports from Turkey at the same time reached $ 4.2 million. Mostly these were engineering products and metal products.

At present, more than 40 organizations engaged in trade and construction, catering, food production, furniture, equipment, wood products, jewelry and the provision of services operate in the territory of Bashkortostan with the participation of capital from Turkey.
