Ufa ranked 14th in life quality rating of Russian cities

The Financial University under the Government of Russia announced the results of a study on the quality of life in Russian cities. Ufa ranked 14th in this rating, another city of the republic - Sterlitamak took the 30th position. In compiling the list, the data of sociological polls conducted this year in 78 cities of Russia with a population of over 250 thousand people and the data of Rosstat were taken into account.

“The study considered the quality of medical care, the state of the road infrastructure, the development of culture and education, housing and public utilities, and the volume of housing construction. Our experts also examined the work of the city authorities, the population’s assessment of city convenience for life, migration trends and the citizens ’assessment of their income level”, the press service of the Financial University under the Russian Government told the Bashinform News Agency.

The top five cities with the highest quality of life included Tyumen, Grozny, Moscow, Kazan and Sochi.

“We have seen significant progress recently in Ufa. Good positions on the housing and utility services work and the volume of construction, a fairly high estimate of road facilities and the work of city authorities. All this is in presence of good revenues”, said Alexey Zubets, vice-rector of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, commenting on the results of the study.
