It is planned to subsidize export activities cost in Bashkiria

The Government of Bashkortostan plans to subsidize the costs of the business entities for exporting goods that are not included in the relevant list of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Interim Deputy Prime Minister Ilshat Tazhitdinov stated at the “Time to Export” International Forum. Speaking at a plenary meeting, he recalled that the “May Decrees” of the President of Russia had indicated a task of increasing non-resource-based, non-energy exports (agricultural products, processing, services). By 2024, their share should be at least 20% (now 9%), in value terms - $ 250 billion (two times more than now).

It will be possible to solve these tasks by overcoming logistical constraints, creating a flexible line of financial instruments, and abolishing excess requirements for export activities, the official believes. According to him, the development of regional components of the federal national project “International Cooperation and Export” is being completed in the republic, which financing is planned in the amount of about 1 trillion rubles.

Basing on the data by the Ufa division of the Russian Export Center, the growth of non-resource-based, non-energy exports in Bashkortostan was 35% in 2017 (in the Russian Federation - 23%). Last year in the structure of Bashkir exports, 51% was occupied by non-resource-based energy products (mainly petroleum products), 44% - by non-resource-based non-energy products (non-organic and organic chemicals, building materials, mechanical engineering). Petrochemistry showed the highest growth rates - 137%, machine building - 118%, glass industry - 50%, chemical and woodworking - 25%.
