Bashkiria plans to take part in pilot project on housing renovation

Bashkir authorities are planning to take part in a pilot project on housing renovation - the reconstruction of the urban environment. According to the Housing Development Fund RB, the general director Konstantin Kostenko and the head of the Directorate for Development of Mortgage and Savings mechanisms RB Evgeny Dekatov took part in the discussion of the draft Federal Law "On the renovation of housing in the Russian Federation." It took place at a joint meeting of the committees of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Builders. Industry experts considered ways to implement the “May decree” of the Russian president on a sharp increase in housing construction.

Representatives of the republic were invited to share their experience in the development of the mortgage and saving system, which allows forming a long-term effective demand for housing. This is an important development since the financial capabilities of the regions cannot be compared with Moscow.

As a result, the participants formed a resolution addressed to the Federal Assembly and the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation with a proposal to prepare pilot renovation projects in several regions of the country, including Bashkiria. It’s too early to talk about any concrete plans, the Gosstroy RB explains.
